We are approved to design, supply and install solar systems under the Photovoltaic Rebate Program (PVRP) for an $8,000 rebate.

Renewablelogic can help to reduce the up-front cost by discounting the value of the Renewable Energy Certificates (RECS) that your system can create, reducing the capital cost of your system.

Additionally, you can reduce your up-front costs by making the rebate available directly to Renewablelogic – pay only the system cost less the PVRP rebate.

In certain regional areas your grid-connect system may be eligible for a 50% government rebate (Rural Renewable Energy Program).

How does a grid-connected system work?

The photovoltaic array on your roof will produce DC electricity which is then converted by the inverter into the AC electricity, the same type used in your home.

Your inverter is connected to the electricity grid, and any electricity you do not use can be sold onto the grid. When your solar system is not producing electricity the grid seamlessly supplies your home.

The Renewable Energy Buyback Scheme gives you the opportunity to sell electricity to the grid.

Do you need batteries?

Not necessarily - there is no interruption of supply whilst the inverter and the grid are in operation, although grid ‘blackouts’ will still affect your supply. Batteries are more expensive to add to a grid connected system and provide limited benefits in most situations, but inverter technology will soon to be available in Australia that provides a ‘backed up’ situation. Renewablelogic can also supply and install an Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for sensitive installations.
